01

One shared address can have several rental arrangements.

A private room and a shared room do not always use the same rent setup. Model the actual rooms and beds, choose per-bed or whole-room billing, then assign residents. The property name can stay the same while each resident has their own records and permitted access.

ArrangementSetup to review
Shared room with separate resident rentUse per-bed billing and check each resident assignment and rent record.
Room rented as one arrangementUse whole-room billing and review the room assignment before billing.
Several co-living locationsCreate separate properties so assignments, staff access and records stay in the correct location.

Room and bed setup should reflect your real rental arrangement. Ask for a walkthrough if a whole apartment or a joint tenancy needs a different representation.

02

Keep the move-in, stay and move-out connected.

Before move-in

Check the actual vacancy, confirm the room or bed, enter resident details and review rent and required documents. A message saying “available” is not a substitute for checking the assignment.

During the stay

Residents can review their rent records, submit payment proof, raise complaints and request visitors. Staff update the authorized workflow rather than maintaining separate copies.

When plans change

Review room-change or move-out requests, outstanding rent and the assignment status. Confirm the vacated space before assigning another resident.

Across the team

Use notices for property communication and property-scoped permissions for staff. Complaint history helps a new team member understand what has already happened.

03

A repair should keep its room and history.

Consider a resident reporting a leaking tap in Room 203. Keep the complaint attached to the resident and room, assign the responsible member, record updates and check the outcome before closing it. The next shift can read the same record.

This is an example of the complaint workflow, not a promise of a particular resolution time or an automatic improvement in resident retention.

04

Review collection and availability across locations.

Use the dashboard to review occupancy and rent records, then open the property that needs attention. Authorized users can export available reports to Excel or PDF. Residents pay the owner directly; payment evidence and verification are recorded in EasyAavaas.

After setting up the app, ask the team to activate the WhatsApp assistant for your account. It works with your records and permissions. Review recent payments before requesting rent reminders; a reminder is not evidence that a resident has failed to pay.

If you need booking-channel integrations, a community-events platform or investor accounting, confirm those separate requirements with the team. The workflows described here are property operations.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about co-living management with EasyAavaas.

Is EasyAavaas a free coliving management app?

Yes. EasyAavaas is ₹0 forever for co-living owners, staff and residents, with no per-bed or per-property subscription. The Android and iOS app supports rent records, room and bed assignments, complaints, visitors and team access.

Is co-living supported or is EasyAavaas only for PGs?

Co-living is supported. PGs and co-living properties share several operational needs, but the setup can include private rooms, shared beds and multiple locations. Choose per-bed or whole-room billing to match your actual rental arrangement.

Can staff manage only their assigned co-living property?

Yes. Property membership and permissions control staff access. Review each member’s permissions before giving them responsibility for rent verification, complaints, visitors or reports.

Can I run the co-living property through WhatsApp?

Set up your property in the app and request WhatsApp assistant activation. Supported assistant actions use your account permissions and records; access and usage controls apply. The app remains available for the full visual workflow.
